The Arc is located on the right bank of the Seine at the centre of a dodecagonal configuration of twelve radiating avenues.
This building is placed at the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle, one of the busiest roads in the heart of Paris. This arc leads to twelve streets radiating from it. It is also the tallest triumphal arc in the world, built to honor those who died while fighting in the French Revolution and the Napoleon Wars.
